United States of America. I didn't change anything that I know, and the registry still shows the limits as I set them. I don't really know how to troubleshoot this. If the keys mentioned above do not exist, just create it. After editing registry, turn off the laptop, unplug battery, plug it again and it should start working.
I don't have the key with a battery serial number under Data. Data itself has most of the keys displayed there in his screenshot. So, do I create the battery number key and create the start and stop keys there under it, or do I just modify the existing keys under data?
Is the battery number key essential? This is what I have. The battery serial number key appeared after a shutdown. Anyway, I was going to experiment with the second part of entering the keys as described in the linked thread, and to my surprise, there was the SN key before I even did anything.

It uninstalled, was not listed under installed programs anymore, yet it was still there. But I got it working by installing Lenovo Settings - Power. Previous version would not uninstall either.
